Meet Our Staff
Karen Nutt
Executive Director
Karen Nutt earned her degree in Child Development from California State University, Northridge. Karen has worked in the area of non-profit management for the last 25 years, specifically with undeserved populations. She has directed programs for children with developmental disabilities, Foster/Kinship Care Education and Wraparound Services - serving children on probation or at risk of probation and their families. Karen also serves on many Boards in the San Gabriel Valley, specifically the San Gabriel/Pomona Parent's Place, in which she was one of the co-founders as well as the San Gabriel Family Violence Council, Children's Planning Council -San Gabriel area, and she serves on the Pastoral and Coordinating Councils for her church.
Shana Urive
6th St. Program Director
Shana Urive is the Program Director for the 6th Street location and is responsible for community development, the Parent Resource Center, and programming for the K-5 tutoring sessions in the neighborhood. Shana holds a B.A. degree from Azusa Pacific University in Political Science and desires to continue her education at the UC Davis Master of Science program in Community Development.
Jordan Bodt
9th St. Program Director (K-5)
Jordan Boldt is the K-5 Program Director for the 9th Street location.
She is responsible for organizing day-to-day Homework House activities for K-5 and any special events for that site. Jordan holds a B.A. degree from Azusa Pacific University in Christian Ministries and Sociology, and desires to get her masters in Intercultural Studies.
Adrian Greer
Teen Program Coordinator
Adrian Greer coordnates Homework House's Neighborhood Teen Project (NTP). He is currently seeking a B.A. in Political Science with plans to be an educator. Adrian is an Azusa native and has been working for the Azusa Unified School District since 2005, where he has gained much experience in working with teens.
Karen Rouggly
Administrative Coordinator
Karen Rouggly is the Administrative Coordinator for the Homework House. She is responsible for maintaining and organizing day-to-day activities for the Homework House. She also provides administrative support to all Directors and Coordinators. She is a graduate of Azusa Pacific University, holding a B.A. in Communication Studies and Theatre Arts.
